    Staff Research Associate

    Aileen is from Maryland and graduated from UCLA in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She became interested in research because of her undergraduate research experience in the Arboleda Lab. She studied rare neurodevelopmental disorders caused by de novo truncating mutations in ASXL genes in order to potentially inform personalized treatments and targeted therapies for these disorders. Aileen is now an SRA in the Yiu Lab studying T cell development in autoimmune and immunodeficient diseases.

    Undergraduate Researcher

    Hannah is a second-year undergraduate majoring in Molecular, Cell, Developmental Biology at UCLA. She is passionate about studying immune cell development to understand the mechanisms of immune dysfunction and inform strategies for targeting autoimmune diseases. In her free time, she loves exploring restaurants in LA, being outdoors, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends and family.
